Downloading your admit card is very simple. Just follow these steps:
- Step 1: Go to the official website of the exam you have applied for. You can also visit our admit card page where we keep all the latest admit card links in one place.
- Step 2: Find the admit card link for your exam. It will be listed under the exam name.
- Step 3: Click on the link. A new page will open where you have to enter your registration number, date of birth or roll number.
- Step 4: After entering the details, click on "Download Admit Card" or "Submit" button.
- Step 5: Your admit card will open as a PDF. Save it on your phone or computer. Then take a clear printout on A4 size paper.
Tip: Take at least 2 printouts. Keep one as backup. Some exam centres also ask for a second copy at the verification desk.
Every admit card has some important information printed on it. Before going to the exam, check all these details carefully:
- Candidate's name (should match your 10th marksheet and ID proof)
- Roll number
- Photograph and signature (the ones you uploaded during registration)
- Exam name and date
- Exam centre address with city and pin code
- Reporting time and gate closing time
- Exam timing (start and end time)
- Important instructions for exam day (what to bring, what not to bring)
If any of these details are wrong, specially your name, photo or exam centre, raise a complaint with the exam authority right away. Most authorities give a correction window of 2 to 5 days after the admit card is released.

- Central government exams (SSC, UPSC, IBPS, RRB): Usually 10 to 15 days before the exam date.
- State board exams (UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, MP Board): Usually 15 to 30 days before the exam. Some boards release admit cards through the school directly.

Many candidates face problems on exam day because of small mistakes they made while downloading the admit card. Here are the most common ones:
- Entering wrong registration number or date of birth: This is the most common reason why candidates cannot download their admit card. Always enter the same details you used during registration.
- Downloading from fake websites: Many fake websites use names similar to official exam portals. Always check the URL carefully. Use only the official website or the links given on our page.
- Not taking a printout: Some candidates save the PDF on their phone and think they will show it at the exam centre. This does not work. You must carry a printed copy on paper. Digital copies on phone are not accepted at most exam centres.
- Not checking the details after download: Many candidates download the admit card and keep it in their bag without reading it. Always check your name, photo, exam date, exam centre and reporting time right after downloading.
- Waiting for the last day: Some candidates keep waiting and try to download on the last day. If the server is down or there is a technical error, you will have no time left. Download your admit card the same day it is released.
Just carrying the admit card is not enough. Here is a checklist of things you should carry to the exam centre:
- Printed admit card (at least 2 copies)
- One government photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport or Driving License). The name on your ID should match the name on your admit card.
- Passport size photographs (2 extra, in case the exam centre asks for it)
- Blue or black ball point pen (for OMR based exams)
- Transparent water bottle
Do NOT carry: Mobile phone, smartwatch, calculator, Bluetooth earphones, wallet with cards, or any electronic device. Most exam centres have strict rules and will not allow you inside if you carry any of these.
Tip: Reach the exam centre at least 30 to 45 minutes before the reporting time. Gates close at the exact time mentioned on the admit card. If you are late, you will not be allowed inside even with a valid admit card.
Sometimes candidates face problems while downloading the admit card. Here is what you should do in each situation:
- If the website is not opening: Try after some time. On the first day of release, too many people visit the website at the same time and it slows down. Try late at night or early morning when traffic is less.
- If it says "Invalid registration number": Double check the number from your registration confirmation page. If you still cannot login, use the "Forgot Registration ID" or "Forgot Password" option on the website.
- If you forgot your registration number: Most exam websites have a recovery option. You can get it using your name, date of birth and mobile number or email ID.
- If your admit card has wrong details: Contact the exam authority helpline immediately. Most authorities give a correction window of 2 to 5 days. If the correction window is closed, send an email with your registration details and explain the error.
- If the admit card link is not showing on the website: It is possible that the admit card for your exam has not been released yet. Check the official notification or our page for the latest update on the release date.
Missing an admit card download window can cost you the entire exam. Here are some simple ways to stay updated:
- Bookmark this page: We update this page every time a new admit card is released. Just bookmark it in your browser and check it regularly.
- Check the official website: Always keep the official exam website saved in your bookmarks. Check it every 2 to 3 days once the exam date is close.
- Follow official social media: Many exam authorities like SSC, UPSC, NTA and IBPS post updates on their official Twitter and Facebook pages.
- Set a reminder: If you know the expected admit card release date, set a reminder on your phone 2 days before that date.
